Sunday Islington

Welcome to my new favourite spot.

It’s called Sunday.

I ventured there on a Saturday.

To meet this lovely lot.

Brunch, friends, Sunday Barnsbury

The queue trails down the street.

But Phoebe and I cheekily arrived late and found our friends at the front of the queue.

Brunch was definitely worth the long wait.

(…so we were told!)

On a very warm and sunny Saturday, it was iced coffee for me.

Brunch, Coffee

A cooling lime and watermelon blend for Phoebe.

Sunday’s special Bloody Mary for Rowan.

And a chilled Beer for Ben.

Slurping away, we talked food.

I went for something a little adventurous.

(By that I mean it wasn’t smashed avocado on sourdough)

Wild rice, quinoa and feta salad, broccoli, spinach, avocado, poached egg, toast.

Absolutely dreamy!

Phoebe dived into the courgette fritters with halloumi, avocado and poached egg

Rowan chose the ham hock hash cake with poached egg and hollandaise

And with Phoebe having stolen the last of Sunday’s courgette fritters, Ben opted for the goats curd and beetroot benedict

We left feeling perfectly-poached-egged-out and pondering when we could return to sample its dinner menu – we’ve heard great things.
